A week ago I did an awesome 43 mile trail run right at the base of Mt. Rainier. The views were INCREDIBLE! I had to share since it's just so beautiful and the run was so much fun!
I was previewing the White River 50 mile course, which I will be racing in 3 weeks. It's a lead up race for my 100 the end of August. This course is tough and extremely mountainous with rocky, debris covered trails. I even crossed a raging stream today and climbed over 10 foot high snow drifts at the top of the peak. I don't think there is any hope of the snow melting in less than 2 weeks, so I might want to pack some skis!
The landscape looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteFirst 43 miles...awesome! Second, beautiful photos. Running and what a delightful run that must have been.
ReplyDeleteFound you via Twitter and now a follower. My husband just started running ultras this year and my goal is to run my first in 2012. I look forward to reading more about your run.
